LEAH BONI
"Leah, a precocious fan she (Shania Twain) brought on stage, out-sang her on “Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You).
- Scott Mevis, Pittsburgh Post Gazette
Leah’s passion for singing began early—at just three years old, she was already memorizing backup vocals to popular songs. Surrounded by music throughout her childhood, she spent countless hours singing into a tape recorder while listening to iconic vinyl records from artists like The Beatles, The Carpenters, and Elton John, as well as legends like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, and Shania Twain.
A classically trained vocalist with over 30 years of experience, Leah is a sought-after live performer. She has sung with several well-known Pittsburgh bands, including The In Transit Band, Finesse, and Mercedez. For over 20 years, she was the lead vocalist for Modern Times, one of Pittsburgh’s premier bands for corporate events, weddings, and private parties. Leah is also a seasoned commercial recording artist, with credits that include national campaigns for VH1, Nickelodeon, Toys “R” Us, and more.
Beyond her music career, Leah is deeply committed to education. She teaches English as a Second Language to elementary students, creatively incorporating her musical talents to engage and inspire her students. Whether performing on stage or teaching in the classroom, Leah’s dedication to her craft and her passion for making a positive impact are evident in everything she does.
